Natural Medicine Consultation

An ancient cure, refined with modern methods, can be very effective in cases of asthma, allergies and skin ailments. In folk medicine urea was used frequently in the past and it is now being used once again in the treatment of neurodermatitis/atopic eczema, a painful skin disease the causes of which are unknown, but which experts think will become ever more frequent as a result of environmental pollution.

Urea, which is present mainly in urine and sweat, is the end-product of protein metabolism in the body. It has a quality which is important in the treatment of neurodermatitis: it penetrates into the very dry skin layers and keeps the moisture in. Why is treatment with the patient’s own urea so effective? Being an excretory product of the patient’s own body, the urea contains all the pathogens and their antigens, plus hormones and other substances. Thus the procedure follows the homeopathic principle of “treating like with like”. Homeopaths can demonstrate amazing success in treating eczema, acne, boils, neurodermatitis, asthma, allergies, bacterial and viral infections, muscle spasms, bronchial and vascular ailments, and various gynaecological problems.

Scientists and lay people have long been interested in all the body fluids, and especially urine. Urea reflects an individuals constitution, is an indicator for illness and also a model for the concept of wholeness in different cultures.

Folk remedies have often referred to urine: “Wash a wound with your own urine every morning, cover it with a linen cloth and keep it from the air”; “Early in the morning, put saliva or your own urine on your eyes: it helps with all eye ailments” “For swollen legs, wrap them in linen cloths, moistened with your own urine”. From these examples we can see that many of these recommendations are hundreds of years old and belong to the “buried treasures of our culture” which were previously recognised by conventional medicine and taught at university, but which were then pushed aside or forgotten, only to reappear in folk medicine. Indian healers recommend drinking urine for many ailments. Even the statesman Desai practised it for many years.

Over the years I have heard of, tried out and rejected many things. In practice it is sometimes difficult to suggest this treatment to a patient. Those who have tried it, are very positive. Even in difficult cases urine treatment has proved amazingly helpful. Neurodermatitis improves in almost all cases so that cortisone creams (with all their notorious side-effects) are not needed. All the above mentioned conditions can be treated successfully: if they cannot it is due to lack of knowledge or prejudices. The great advantage I had (and it is still the main emphasis of my allergy treatments), was(is) bio-resonance therapy. By using this method the patient does not have direct contact with the urine, being neither injected with it (also very effective, by the way) nor having to drink it: the patient receives the urine in homeopathic granules or via therapy electrodes. This method goes back twenty years, when Frank Morell, a German doctor, and Ernst Rasche, an engineer, built the first machines. Today bio-resonance therapy is one of the best methods in alternative medicine for treating allergies and intolerance to all kinds of harmful products in the environment, and with no side-effects and no severe reactions. Applying urine in the traditional way may have advantages, but most people, given the choice, will opt for this more pleasant method.

If you have any questions about bio-resonance therapy, please contact the practice and make an appointment.
